No one sits on the front porch when it's too hot to stay inside. People used to do that and talk to one another and children would play together. We generally knew what was going on in our neighbors lives. Good relationships developed! We shared our faith. Our neighbors knew us best! Now …a car drives up…the garage door opens and closes and we all stay cool inside and feel lonely.
