This week, I'm writing Book 2 in the Everett Hollo This week, I'm writing Book 2 in the Everett Hollow series.

And simultaneously working on my very last read-thru of Stay With Me!

It seemed like a good time to remind you that preorders are gold for authors. They help my publisher gauge interest in my books, and are also somewhat crucial when it comes to them making decisions on future contracts.

So...if you already know you want to read it...preordering now would be a gift to me, and a gift to YOU when it shows up in your mailbox in February. :)

As always, I recommend preordering from Baker Book House. They give the BEST deal - 40% off and free shipping if you're in the US. I'll include the link here, and you can also find it on the Stay With Me page on my website. Just pop over to the link from my bio. :)

Stay With Me
Everett Hollow
Book 1
February 2027

Here's the blurb:

The rules keep her job safe. They can’t keep her alive.

As head housekeeper at The Haven, Adeline Day is the consummate professional. The Haven’s secrets are safe with her, and the line between staff and guests stays firmly in place, no matter how much she wishes otherwise. So when an irate patron publicly accuses her of misconduct, the last thing she expects is for her favorite guest to stay by her side.

Billionaire and single father Nate Sterling has seen enough of the world’s darkness to know that the real danger isn’t that Adeline could lose her job. She could lose her life. He doesn’t have the right to insist she lean on him, but he does have the resources to protect her. And the more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to pretend their cautious friendship hasn’t turned into something more.

When the threats follow her home, staying safe will require Adeline to allow Nate closer than she ever dared imagine. Staying whole may mean asking him to never leave.

If you’d told me 12 years ago that I would be home If you’d told me 12 years ago that I would be homeschooling my boys through high school…I probably would have cried. It would have felt too big. Too much. Too long.

And yet…here we are. About to begin James’s senior year. When his guide came today I almost didn’t open it. I knew what was inside, and I thought maybe I’d wait a few more days.

But then I decided that was ridiculous. It’s here. Senior year. This, the arrival of his guide for the new school year, is just the first of many lasts.

And while I have definitely NOT done everything right, when it comes to this particular journey? Zero regrets.

Homeschooling was the best decision for our family. And now that I can see the finish line racing toward us - James is a senior and Drew is a sophomore - I have to say that part of me wishes we had a few more years. A little bit more time for a few more read alouds, a few more pajama days, a few more weeks that didn’t go as planned but that were exactly right.

But here we are. Down to just a few more … and I’m probably going to cry. Because it’s too big. Too much. Too soon.

Anyone else really suck at relaxing? It shouldn’t be this complicated! But it is.
